Why LeafHub exists

Small businesses across Australia commission custom web applications every year — client portals, booking engines, internal operations tools. Too often the architecture is improvised under deadline pressure. LeafHub Programming Advisory was founded to give owners an independent place to settle structure before those decisions calcify in code.

We are not a product company and we do not sell seats on a platform. We advise.

Origin

LeafHub began in Sydney after years of watching capable teams inherit applications with no clear module boundaries and no written rationale for key integrations. The practice concentrates on programming consulting for custom web application architecture: the craft of deciding what belongs together, what must stay separate, and in which order a small team can deliver.

How we work

  • Operators in the room. Architecture that only engineers understand fails when the business changes.
  • Written decisions. Verbal agreement evaporates; we leave notes and decision logs.
  • Proportionate advice. A five-person company does not need an enterprise reference architecture. We size recommendations to staff, budget, and risk.
  • Honest scope. If buying a packaged product beats building, we say so even when that shortens the engagement.

People

Engagements are led by LeafHub’s principal advisor, with specialist reviewers brought in only when a domain (for example payments reconciliation or multi-state rostering) needs a second set of eyes. Clients always know who is accountable for the written recommendations.

Australia context

We work primarily with Australian small businesses: clinics, wholesalers, education providers, field-service companies, and similar organisations. Remote sessions cover the country; in-person workshops are easiest from our Sydney office at Office 8, 24 Example Street, Sydney NSW 0000.
